Be Incredible.
Every injury, every child, and every family is different. That belief has guided Holton’s Heroes for more than a decade—and it continues to shape how we move forward.
As we enter our next chapter, our mission remains the same: to help families access the durable medical equipment, resources, and information their children need to move forward with dignity, safety, and hope. What has evolved is how we deliver that help so we can continue serving as many families as possible in a sustainable and meaningful way.
Moving forward, Holton’s Heroes will provide support of up to $2,000 per family, subject to the same funding guidelines and restrictions currently outlined on our site. This shift allows us to stretch our limited resources further, respond to more families in need, and continue showing up for the community we love—while remaining fiscally responsible and mission-driven.
We still go to great lengths to thoughtfully review each application and understand where support can make the greatest impact. We’ve worked hard to keep our application process as simple and respectful as possible. The information you share helps us determine the most appropriate way Holton’s Heroes may be able to assist your family. While families are never required to be publicly featured, we are always grateful when stories can be shared to help donors see the real-world impact of their generosity.
At our core, we love helping families access tangible, life-changing support—therapy and mobility equipment, adaptive tools, special travel or enrichment items, in-home devices, and other essentials that are often denied or underfunded by insurance or government programs. These items can make daily life safer, recovery more achievable, and the home a more supportive place for growth.
If you have a child who suffered a brain injury after birth and is 18 years of age or younger at the time of application, we encourage you to apply.
Please note that not all qualified applicants will receive assistance. The number of families we are able to support—and the type of support offered—depends largely on available funding after Holton’s Heroes’ annual program and operational needs are met.
Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Holton’s Heroes family. We are honored to continue this work alongside the families and community who have trusted us for the past ten years—and those we have yet to meet.
Important: In addition to completing the application, we request a 2 – 4 minute video that shows us everything you think we should know about your child, your family, your child's situation and goals. Simply email the video to hello@holtonsheroes.org after you submit the application or upload the video to YouTube and paste the link in the "Video Submission" field in the application. These do not need to be professionally filmed or edited—a video from a phone will work.
